Cricket Betting and Gambling Are Not Exactly the SameTuesday, November 12, 2019
If you went up to somebody in the street and asked them if there is a difference between betting and gambling, most would probably tell you no. However, as we are about to show, there is a slight difference between these two terms, despite the fact that they are often used interchangeably.

So What Differences Exist Between Betting and Gambling?
When you put your hard-earned cash on an outcome that you really have no control over, then you are gambling. For example, if you walk into a casino, walk up to one of the roulette tables, and place $50 on the ball to land on a red number, you have just gambled. The chances of you walking away with some extra money are totally dependent upon luck. Your knowledge, experience, and skills will never come into the equation.
Betting, on the other hand, is a type of gambling. To be precise, you are betting when you are trying to predict the outcome of a match and then put some money on it happening. When you are gambling, you need luck, but when you are betting you can use your knowledge and skill to improve your chances of winning.
The Differences Between Gambling and Cricket Betting
To make it clearer, let us use cricket betting as an example.
Let us pretend that there is an ODI cricket match about to take place between New Zealand and Australia and you want to place a bet on it to liven things up. After you have looked at all the different markets available, you decide that you want to place a bet on the top scorer for New Zealand and the top scorer for Australia. Using your knowledge of cricket, you know that Kane Williamson is the best batsman for New Zealand, while Steve Smith is the best batsman for Australia. Therefore, you decide to place a $20 stake on both of these batsmen being the top scorers for their respective teams.
"In our opinion, some of the best sites for cricket betting are Bodog, LeoVegas, 888 Sport, Unibet, 22Bet, Royal Panda, and Spin Sports."
When the match has finished you have a nice $50 profit thanks to your knowledge of the sport. Okay, you obviously needed a bit of luck as well, but your cricket knowledge, without a doubt, helped a lot. If you were not aware of just how good Williamson and Smith are at batting, you would have bet on some other players and lost your $20. You can put your knowledge to good use while betting, but your knowledge about how roulette is played will not help you when you are gambling. The only thing you can hope for is that luck is on your side.
How Are the New Zealand Cricket Team Currently Getting On?
New Zealand had a very good 2019 Cricket World Cup, but they fell at the final hurdle to a very good England team, one of the best ODI teams the cricketing world has ever seen.
After the World Cup, they traveled to Sri Lanka in two test matches and three T20I games. The first test match, played at the Galle International Stadium was won by Sri Lanka, while the second test match at the Paikiasothy Saravanamuttu Stadium was won by New Zealand. In the T20 Series, New Zealand won the first two matches, but lost the third. All three games were played at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.
In November they welcomed England for five T20I matches and two test matches (not part of the ICC World Test Championship). England won the first T20I at the Hagley Oval, New Zealand won the second and third matches at the Wellington Regional Stadium and the Saxton Oval, England won the 4th game at the McLean Park, and England won the series at Eden Park. In an ironic twist of fate, this final game was tied at the end of the 11 overs each (reduced because of rain) and England went to win the Super Over by 9 runs.
At the time of writing, the two test matches had not been contested. After the test matches against England, they travel to Australia to play three test matches.
Despite whatever happens in the two test matches against England and the three test matches against Australia, the New Zealand cricket team can be proud of the year that they had and their fans can look forward to a similar successful year in 2020.

Why It Is Fun to Bet on Cricket
Sports such as football and horse racing are the most popular sports for people to bet on but, in our opinion, betting on cricket is way more fun than betting on those sports. Here is why we think so.
Cricket is exciting to bet on as there are so many different markets that you can choose from. It is safe to say that you are spoiled for choice when betting on this game.
For instance, you can bet on the winner of the match, the winner of the coin toss, who will be the best player out of both teams, who will collect the most wickets, who will get the most runs, the next mode of dismissal, whether any batsman will score a hundred or a fifty, and whether a team will score more or fewer runs than a specific number.
Another fantastic thing about cricket betting is that you will always be able to find some type of cricket match that you can place a wager on, whether it domestic cricket or international cricket. This is because when there is no cricket being played in the Southern Hemisphere because it is winter, there will be cricket being played in the Northern Hemisphere because it is summer up there.
Each country where cricket is a big deal has a range of different domestic competitions that you can place bets on. For instance, you will find more than twenty competitions in India alone. These are great competitions and you will often get to see some fantastic cricket. There are also regular ICC events such as the T20 World Cup and the Cricket World Cup.
